Safeguarding is paramount at Hexton. The school will, in most circumstances, endeavour to discuss all concerns with parents about their children. However, there may be exceptional circumstances when the school will discuss concerns with Social Care and/or the Police without parental knowledge (in accordance with the Hertfordshire Child Protection procedures). The school will always aim to maintain a positive relationship with all parents. The school’s Child Protection Policy is available in the Policies section of this website, along with our e-Safety Policy.

The duty to safeguard pupils is the responsibility of everybody. If you have any concerns, no matter how insignificant they may seem, please speak to our safeguarding officers or a member of staff.
The Safeguarding Officers at Hexton are Mrs Fenner and Mrs Okoturo.
If you are unable to speak to either of the named safeguarding leads please contact another member of staff or Hertfordshire Children’s Social Care on 0300 123 4043.
