A nurturing environment for 4 to 11-year-olds

We’re a small primary school in a spectacular and unique setting on the Herts and Beds border

Mighty oaks from little acorns grow...

Our Setting

We’re nestled in the beautiful village of Hexton, Hertfordshire – a ten-minute drive from Hitchin and five from Barton-le-Clay.

We’ve got our own playing fields and school garden.

Barton Hills Nature Reserve is on our doorstep and greenery surrounds us in every direction. An added bonus is we have our own car park, making drop-off simple.

School Ethos

Founded in 1846, Hexton JMI takes the best of the past and blends it with the modern world. We’re big on traditional values – promoting things like respect and resilience – and we fuse this with innovation, creating the perfect mix for today’s pupil.

Because of our small size, we get to know every child as an individual, in a way that other schools simply cannot – seeing to it that each pupil reaches their full potential.

We welcome children from Herts, Beds and beyond. Contact us today.
